Help at H.O.M.E.
A committee created to help Holden residents of all ages who are in need. Social service information via Help at H.O.M.E. is available at the Town of Holden website. There is a booklet available on the website, as well as copies available at the Gale Free Library and the Town Hall in Holden.
Joseph’s Project is a non-profit organization that delivers food (non-perishable and fresh) weekly to families in need in the Wachusett area. Deliveries are made possible at the discretion of Joseph’s Project.
Massachusetts Energy Assistance for residents of Massachusetts
There are several programs in Massachusetts to help low-income families and individuals pay for their heating fuel and other utilities. Government help is available to pay for fuel, weatherization, and heating system repairs. In addition, low-income customers can get utility discounts, utility shutoff protection, and help from non-government programs.

Project Just Because, Inc. runs various programs throughout the year serving basic needs of families, children, and seniors. We have special opportunities during the holidays to help people in need by providing not only basic necessities, but also an emotional boost during what can be a difficult time.
United Way of Central Massachusetts
The United Way’s First Call for Help referral service directs people in need to available resources throughout the community, including: emergency shelter, legal assistance, substance abuse recovery services, child advocacy, a variety of neighborhood health services, nutrition and food assistance programs, and more.
